This controller provides a simple and economical solution for cooking sous vide at home. It can precisely control the temperature of cooking pots such as rice cookers or slow cookers. It can also be used to control table top roasters. The temperature range of the cooking device can be controlled from 5 degrees above the ambient to 380˚F (190˚C, it's limited by the sensor) with one degree precision and stability.

Operating the temperature controller is easy: just plug the cooker to the controller, drop the sensor in, and set the temperature on the controller. The controller will do the rest of job for you. The build-in timer allows you to set the cooking time. When finished, the controller will display END and turn on the beeper to tell you the food is ready.

Comparing to immersion circulators, our controller allows you to cover the pot with its lid. The thin ribbon sensor can be dropped into cooking pots with lid covered. This can greatly reduce water evaporation. Cooking sous vide with uncovered pot can cause significant water evaporation, especially for some recipes that requires more than tens of hours cooking time. This will also result in higher humidity in your room and make the air conditioner works harder to cool your room.  

Comparing to electric cookers with build-in PID control module, our controller gives you the flexibility of choosing different sized cookers depending on the food and occasions. 

This WS-1500ES controller is an E series plug-n-play controller. Comparing to the previous C series (e.g., WS-1500CXX), it has improved heat handling capability and is equipped with a more durable sensor. We also add several new features. A high limit alarm is added to warn users if the temperature is out of range. An open loop alarm is added to warn users if the sensor is not put into the control loop. On/off control and cooling control modes are also added so the controller can be used for control applications such as freezer temperature control.

Notes for customers outside North America:
  • The "universal" output socket accepts either US power cord or the European CEE 7/7 cord.
  • For European customers, we will ship the controller with European CEE 7/7 power input cord.
  • For other countries, a US power cord is included. User can splice the connector of the cord to a power strip outlet that meets the local standard for the output.  For the input, the controller has standard IEC 320 C13/14 socket. User can use a computer power cord that meets the local standard to power it.
