SSR Cooling Kit

This kit is for cooling the controller box that contains a SSR and an internal mounted heat sink. The kit includes a cooling fan and a thermal switch. The fan is 120V AC powered with aluminum frame for high temperature operation. It can be directly powered by the 120VAC in the controller box. The thermal switch is a normally open type. It is specially designed for SSR cooling temperature range. It will turn on the fan when the temperature of the aluminum bottom reaches 113ºF (45ºC). It can be mounted on the SSR heat sink to protect the SSR from overheating.  When the temperature drop to 104 ºF (40 ºC), the switch will automatically reset to the open state. 
 
The SSR heat dissipation is only an issue during the initial heating up of the system when full power is passed. Once the temperature is stabilized, the SSR may only pass a very small current to maintain the temperature. The temperature on the SSR will drop. The thermal switch will turn off the fan to reduce the noise.

The fan carries one year warranty.
