This Auber CUBE 5E tabletop plug-n-play brewing controller composes all the features required for BIAB brewing. For mashing, this product offers a very stable temperature control without the worry of temperature overshooting. For boiling, the front rotary knob can adjust the power output with a 1% precision interval. The built-in buzzer will notify users when a temperature alarm is triggered or when the time has ended. Two switch-controlled outlets for 120V pumps are provided. The unit is for the North American 240V power system (four lines power connection). The maximum current rating is 30A.

EZboil DSPR320A Module, the Heart of CUBE Controller:
The built-in temperature controller, the EZboil® DSPR320A, is designed for brewers to have the ability to do step-mashing, low-oxygen brewing, and post-boil whirlpool. Its temperature control function utilizes an artificial intelligence algorithm optimized for multiple mashing steps. With the EZboil® DSPR320A, it is easier and more convenient to operate compared to a ramp & soak PID controller. Regular PID controllers may have overshoot or slow response issues when not properly tuned. However, for most mashing systems, the EZboil® DSPR320A can hold the temperature within one degree right out of the box. In boiling steps, users can program multiple timer steps, which can also be used to trigger multiple pump actions at different steps/times. For details, please check DSPR320A's product page. 
 

Temperature Sensor
This controller includes one PT100 RTD probe with one 8' braided cable by default (a 12' braided cable option and a 12' silicone braided cable option are also available). The PT100 RTD sensor provides high accuracy & a wider measuring range, which is recommended for precision applications like brewing. It is superior to digital sensors, thermistor sensors, or thermocouples that competitors offer. 19 different probe length/thread options are offered. See the table below for more information. Please choose the probe option above accordingly. For tri-clamp probe options, please leave a note for the probe option# in the comment box during checkout. Or you can simply send us an email for the trip-clamp probe that you need. The RTD sensor connector on the CUBE controller is the male XLR (XLRCON-M).

Power Rating
The Auber CUBE 5E is designed for North America 240V AC power lines that require four lines of power connections (L1, L2, N, and G). It is rated as 30 Amp, 240V, 7200W. The power input socket is NEMA L14-30P. One L14-30R power input cable connector is included for your convenience.   
 
The power output socket for the heater is NEMA L6-30R. The maximum power output is 30A, 240V. An optional NEMA L6-30P plug is offered. Two power output sockets for pumps are NEMA 5-15R. The maximum power output is 10A, 120V for each pump output. Total power output (one heater and two pumps) is limited to 30A.
 
Customization Options
1. Power Options. Cube 5E for the US 120V 20A system (L, N, G) or other countries' 230V 30A system (L, N, G) are available upon inquiry. The Cube 5E (120V 20A) is installed with NEMA 5-20P flanged power inlet and 5-20R flanged power outlet.

2. Front Panel Options. The front panel can be customized to have a small amperage meter or an output indicator.

2. Input power cords are not included, because each user may have different hookup requirements in terms of cable length and connection type.
3. Although the controller includes a breaker switch, it is recommended to hook up the system with a GFCI or Earth Leak protected power line because water is involved in the brewing equipment.

7. The included temperature controller requires a temperature sensor. If you want to use this controller without the sensor in boiling mode, you can check our sensor simulator. This simulator will provide a fixed temperature reading on the controller. 
8. The CUBE 5E (CU005E) replaced the previous model CUBE 3E (CU003E). In CUBE 5E, the Main Switch only controls the main output to the Heater socket, while in the older model CUBE 3E (CU003), the Main Switch controls the power to the entire unit.
