DIN Rail Terminal Block Kit

This DIN Rail terminal kit provides all the essential parts that you will need to split the wire for a control panel. Two kits are available for 30A or 60A systems. 

This kit includes several components:

1) Terminal block and jumper. When multiple blocks are joined together by the jumper, one incoming wire can be split into multiple outgoing wires. In the Assembled kit (see pictures below), the left most three blocks are joined by two jumpers, making them a 6 port wiring terminals. Port 1 has a black input wire; Port 2-6 can be used for 5 outgoing wires. These parts are UL and CE approved. For the kit of 30Amp system, it can support up to 30A current and are compatible with 22-10 AWG wire. For the kit of 60Amp system, it can support up to 60A current and is compatible with 20-6 AWG wire.

2) Terminal separator/cover. It serves two roles in a DIN rail systems: a) it physically separates two neighboring terminal blocks into two groups; b) it covers the exposed side of a terminal block. For example, you can use it to separate the hot wire terminal blocks from the neutral wire blocks.

3) Stopper. Most DIN Rail components can slide on the rail. Putting two stoppers at both ends can hold the components in place. The stopper should be mounted on either ends and be screwed tightly.

4) Label. It allows you to mark a terminal block. There is a small stud that clips onto the terminal. One terminal block requires 2 labels. The extra labels are provided for further modifications.

5) Wire ferrules for 10 and 14 AWG wires. Ferrules are only needed when using stranded wires instead of solid wires. DIN Rail devices do not accept commonly used spade or ring type terminals. If stranded wire is installed without any terminal treatment, the apparently well-tightened wire may become loose over time. Crimping a ferrule at the end of the stranded wire can prevent this problem from happening. The ferrule can also reduce the contact resistance and oxidation. Lab tests have proven that the use of ferrules can extend contact lifetime by preventing an increase in resistance and temperature, which can lead to short-circuits and/or failures.
