Note: SYL-2LX2P is a low voltage version of SYL-23X2P, and it can only be powered by 12~24V AC/DC. For 110V/240V power supply version, please check SYL-23X2P.
This controller can be used to control external relay/contactor, solid state relay (SSR), or control a small AC load directly. Please check the details for “model selections” below, and choose the desired Controller Output Option accordingly.
PID Temperature Controller with 30 Steps Ramp/Soak
This is a brand new, dual display, 1/16 DIN (48 x 48 mm) programmable PID temperature/process controller. This controller is for applications where it is desirable to have automatically adjusted set points over time. Up to 30 steps can be programmed to A) ramp the temperature up and down at controlled rate, B) maintain the temperature for a specific period time, C) turn on/off the relays (alarm relay) after process reach a specific step, D) jump (for loops), run, hold or stop after process reaches a specific step.
This controller has all the features of the standard PID controller (except the manual control mode). The dual alarm relay can be activated either by the temperature set point or by program steps. It can also be used to interlock other equipment in the process.

Model Selection
We offer three models in this series: SYL-2L42P, SYL-2L52P, and SYL-2L72P. Please read the description below to choose the correct model for your application.
SYL-2L42P (relay/contactor output)
This model has a built-in relay that can handle up to 10A of current at 120VAC. That means a small load can be connected directly to the controller without needing an external relay or SSR. That is convenient for applications in which only a small heater is used. It can also be used to drive external relays or contactors. It supports 17 different types of input devices that can be set by the user from keypad.
SYL-2L52P (SSR output)
This model has 12 VDC output for controlling external solid state relays (SSR).
SYL-2L72P (built-in SSR output)
Originally designed for the Traeger control. This unit has a built-in zero-crossing solid state relay (SSR) that can handle 2 Amp of load. The zero-crossing switching feature will avoid the noise caused by inductive load. It makes the controller more stable than the controller with relay contact output (SYL-2L42) when switching inductive loads such as a contractors, solenoid valves, or small motors. Please note that the built-in SSR can only drive AC loads; it can NOT drive DC loads or DC signal triggered AC SSRs. It can NOT handle more than 300W loads (at 110VAC) either.
