The kit KIT-BSTR is a retrofitting kit designed to control the coffee water temperature on an espresso machine. It can be installed on Saeco Aroma, Starbucks Barista, and Saeco equivalents (Rio Profi, Rio Vapore, Estro Profi, Via Venezia, and Estro Vapore).
Main Feature. The coffee water temperature in the boiler of a home espresso machine is originally controlled by a bi-metal thermostat, which causes a big temperature swing. The KIT-GG PID controller kit replaces the function of the mechanical coffee thermostat. After the kit is installed, the standby brew water temperature can be controlled to within ±1° (F or C) accuracy. Thus, it will significantly improve the taste and consistency of your espresso. Users can see the boiler temperature on the PID controller directly and also easily adjust the brew water temperature to suit their own tastes.

This kit doesn't control the steam temperature nor has the pre-infusion function.
LED display color. The digital LED display module is available in red or white.
Box color. Two different colors of the controller box are offered, silver and black. The silver box is coated with clear anodized aluminum with a brush-finished stainless steel front panel. It is most suitable for machines with stainless steel chassis or machines with a silver color. The black box has a durable powder coating. It is suitable for other colored espresso machines. Temperature unit. Select the preferred temperature unit so that all parameters are pre-set properly for you.
Power input. The kit is compatible with both 110VAC and 240VAC power.

Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of electronics wiring and safety.
- A small hole (3/16" or 5 mm diameter) needs to be drilled for the passage of the wires.
- Screwdriver, pliers, a socket wrench, and a small amount of rubbing alcohol.
- The estimated install time is about 40-60 minutes
