This K type thermocouple extension wire can be used to extend the length of the thermocouple cables by crimping the extension wire to the original thermocouple cable. 

Note for soldering: It is difficult to sold type K thermocouple wire because it contains AL and Cr. Stainless steel flux is recommended for soldering. Mechanical fasten like crimping wires together also works.
