This PID controller set is for controlling the temperature of a medium-to-large sized backyard smoker, a 55 gallon drum style smoker or off-set type smoker. This system contains a 20 CFM blower that is more powerful than the other system we offer.

Auber’s SYL-3615 Wi-Fi BBQ controller is our newly released BBQ controller on November 2020 with two major changes:

  • A new Wi-Fi module that allows push-notification, OTA update, and many other potentials. Compatible with mesh routers.
  • The total number of probes has been increased from 2 to 3.

With these two hardware changes, we are able to bring a few great improvements comparing to the previous model (SYL-2615):

  • Newly added alarm (push) notifications straight to your phone.
  • Improved compatibility with Wi-Fi routers.
  • Faster data transfers and better Wi-Fi signal reception
  • Over-the-air (OTA) update capability. Keeping your device always up to date.
  • Three temperature probes available instead of two. One pit probe and two food probes to ensure an easier experience of monitoring the cooking process.
  • 6 cooking profiles and 6 cooking steps in each profile
  • More flexibility in controlling the cooking process: starting/stopping the cooking process and/or jumping to a step whenever you want.
  • Added secure mounting hooks.

Other than these big improvements, the new SYL-3615 has inherited all the features of its predecessor, the award winning SYL-2615, which includes:

  • The ability to monitor and control the cooking process remotely from your smartphone on the App.
  • Well-tuned PID control algorithms that achieve and maintain a tight control of the pit temperature.
  • A variety of parameters that allow users to fine tune the device per their cooking preferences.
  • Able to adjust fan output by either time-proportional control (for fine temperature tuning) or by fan-speed control (for minimizing the ash).
  • Automatically detects lid openings and pauses the output.
  • Exports/retains cooking temperature statistical data for up to 10 hours.
  • Durable temperature probes with stainless steel cables over-braiding and high temperature Teflon wires (720°F/380°C).

• If you have DeWalt® power drill or other power tools that use DeWalt® 20V Max battery, PA-DD1 power adapter will allow you to power our charcoal smoker controllers with the same battery. Please find it here.
• Optional 12V Li-ion battery pack can be purchased from other vendors (Amazon Link). Auber has tested this 12V/8300mAh battery pack, which has enough capacity to power our BBQ controller with fan for a regular smoking or BBQ process.

**: A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network is required. If your router has a 2.4 Ghz band, this controller should be compatible. Nowadays, most modern WIFI routers on the market are dual-band/tri-band and most likely they have a 2.4Ghz band. If you have difficulties to pair our controller, please check your router's admin page to make sure its 2.4Ghz band is enabled and properly setup.
