the simplicity of this kit as well as its value has impressed me. essentially , on my older Sylvia, it eliminates the brew thermostat and
utilizes only the steam thermostat. the steam thermostat is then controlled thru the display module which receives temperature information
from a probe in the boiler and then controls the heater element via a relay. always knowing the water temperature in the boiler
is very helpful as is the ability to accurately and easily set the brew temperature. the steam button now turns the heat elements
on continuously but the readout lets you know when you are in the 260-270 zone. quality parts and well illustrated instructions.
I highly recommend it.
