PID Temperature Control Retrofit KIT for Rancilio Silvia

I purchased a used "3 week old" Silvia v2 off of a person on Craig’s list. I knew right away that I wanted to PID the machine for temperature control. I did a lot of research on PID kits on the various coffee websites. I found Auber’s name as a kit supplier. The only other kit I found was twice the price of Auber kit with shipping included. I decided to go with Auber and I am very happy I did. I order the kit on Thursday afternoon. It was sent out right away. There was no waiting for a 3 week build time like the other kit. It arrived here in Alaska on Monday. Everything was packaged very nicely. It included a CDRom which contained Installation instructions, PID instructions, and test data. The kit said it would take approx 1 hour to install and get running. This would be the first time I have ever worked on an espresso machine seeing how this was my first machine. I followed the easy to read instruction and detailed pictures and ran into no problems what so ever. I had the machine back together and turned on in 40 min. I let the machine warm up for 45 min at the preset temperature that the kit was setup with. I did a small flush, dosed and pulled a beautiful 26 second shot. It was the best shot I have pulled with the machine so far. Previously I tried the many temperature surfing methods out there on the web but just haven't been quit able to get it right. Now with the PID installed all I need to worry about is my dosing and tamping. Thanks once again for a great product.
